Fix Cannot Serve Directory No Matching DirectoryIndex in WordPress Error Issue

If you are receiving the following No Matching DirectoryIndex error in WordPress when attempting to load, download or link assets in your uploads folder:

[autoindex:error] Cannot serve directory /home/…/public_html/wp-content/uploads/:  No matching DirectoryIndex

This is a security measure that prevents display of a directory’s contents.  To mitigate this error, copy the index.php file located in your wp-content folder and paste it in the directory that is throwing the error.

If you were previously receiving 403 permission denied errors when attempting to download from that directory, this fix should resolve that as well.
